OUR OHS POLICY
Karabük University has adopted as a priority goal to take all measures and implement practices to create a working, learning and living environment where all its employees, students and stakeholders will be physically and spiritually healthy and safe. The basic principles that guide its activities in this direction are:
 
1. To adopt the prevention of work accidents and occupational diseases arising from risks posed by hazards as a priority target, with the awareness that work accidents and occupational diseases can be prevented with a proactive approach, and to carry out and support studies in this direction,
 
2. To introduce occupational health and safety targets through attitudes, behaviors and training that will raise awareness in order to establish a safety culture in all units of the university, and to ensure that all employees embrace, support and participate in occupational health and safety activities,
 
3. To contribute to studies that will ensure the detection, notification and prevention of occupational diseases,
 
4. To work to ensure that all employees benefit from occupational health and safety services,
 
5. To ensure the coordination of the units working within the university in occupational health and safety services, as well as to ensure communication and cooperation of individuals, units and institutions within and outside the university, and to encourage their joint work,
 
6. To support scientific research that will contribute to occupational health and safety,
 
7. To follow legal, scientific and technological developments in order to reorganize and improve occupational health and safety practices when necessary,
 
8. Ensuring that employees receive comprehensive, continuous and qualified occupational health and safety training,
 
9. To contribute to the social safety culture by organizing Occupational Health and Safety Trainings for our students who will enter their professional lives after graduation.
 
10. To organize basic occupational health and safety training that is mandatory for students both in the university environment and in their field of education, which is mandatory for them to work as interns.
